Our Story
Cassidy and Cooper met way back in 2013 at New Albany High School, when Cooper was a sophomore and Cassidy was a freshman. They were friends for a few months, but officially became boyfriend and girlfriend on Cassidy's 15th birthday, when Cooper showed up at Cassidy's door with flowers and a bottle of Pewitt's Pure Honey. After high school, they spent 4 years long distance at Loyola and Wooster, but planned frequent visits and spent a semester abroad in London together. When they graduated college in 2020, Cassidy convinced Cooper to move to Chicago to be with her, they adopted their sweet beagle, Duck, and the rest is history!
Cooper proposed over Christmas on a Platte family vacation in Switzerland. They were at the end of a beautiful hike with the Matterhorn behind them and Cooper surprised the whole family by getting down on one knee and asking Cassidy to marry him. Everyone was overjoyed!
We are so excited to celebrate our love with all of the people that we love the most. We feel so lucky to have grown up together and we have had the support of so many different friends and family members along the way. They always say it takes a village, and we can't wait to gather our village as we start the rest of our lives together.
